The A.C.T. is a tuition based program that relies on the support of parent volunteers in order to create a show. There are many different ways that parents can help including:
o Work backstage or front-of-the-house
o Work done immediately before or after the show
o Work during the evening Tech Week rehearsals
o Work in the weeks leading up to the show
o Work that is done from home
And best of all, it is fun work and no theater experience is necessary!
Why a Cooperative Theater?
For the children! Cooperative theater provides an increasingly rare opportunity for you to be directly involved in your child's activities and interests. The cast and their families become a community working together toward a common goal.
How does The A.C.T. work?
When registration opens, parents will have the opportunity to sign up for their choice of committees by filling out the parent volunteer form. Some committees are more involved than others. To ensure that each family contributes equally to the show, we have divided the committees into three groups. Committees from Level A involve the most responsibility and committees from Level C the least.
Parents are required to choose:
1 Committee from Level A
-OR-
2 Committees from Level B

Policies:
*See committee descriptions for a detailed description of all available committees. Please Note: Committee Descriptions have been recently updated. Please be sure to understand your commitment fully.
*Committees are filled on a first come, first served basis. Committee requests open on the first day of registration. We will do our best to honor requests but ultimately committees will be filled based on production needs as outlined in our committee descriptions. Please be advised that after you are assigned a committee(s), you may be asked to switch to another if the need arises.
*Please give multiple options that will fulfill your parent volunteer commitment. This allows flexibility if some of your first choice committees have been filled.
* Coop commitment is on a family basis, not based on each child's registration. A family may have more than 1 child in a cast. This does not mean that you have to double or triple your Coop commitment. However, based on porduction needs, we will require that families with siblings in the cast, take on additional responsibilities if needed.
*A family can opt-out of the Coop requirement by paying a higher, non-cooperative tuition rate per child.
* If you would like to change your tuition choice, you have 7 business days prior to the first date of auditions to do so. After that time, all tuition choices and payments are final. No exceptions!
